EXPANSION MANAGER or EXPANSION MANAGER TRAINEE f/m
Fulltime / based in Vienna
This is all about securing the company’s position as one of the world’s leading fashion companies in a profitable, brand-building, ethical and sustainable way in our 6 markets.
As Expansion Manager you and the team are responsible for the expansion in Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Georgia – both for new stores as well as for existing stores.
As an Expansion Manager Trainee, you will have the chance to learn all aspects of the business. You will start with our introduction training in the store and furthermore be part of all relevant central departments. Depending on your experience and progress this program may take up to one year.
Your future responsibilities:

Enable long term growth for the H&M Group (H&M, COS, Weekday, H&M Home, & Other Stories, Monki, ARKET and Afound)

Create a growth strategy by developing and maintaining the road map for a geographic region

Set expansion targets, both qualitative and quantitative, together with the global leasing team

Optimize the existing portfolio

Ensure the best possible deal

Optimize each deal regarding selling, location and profitability

Recommend the full business case in terms of fit with market strategy, location requirements, commercial idea, configuration of space, economic and legal terms

Set fact-based targets for sales, rent and net investment levels

Recommend negotiated business cases for approval by the country Leasing Committee

Track the performance of new stores and rebuilds

Drive the expansion and work together with the construction and store development team
Your competences:
-
University degree, preferably with a finance, business or economics major

Min. 2 years’ experience in finance, real estate, business consulting, expansion or retail

Excellent analytical skills with solid strategic thinking

High level of ownership

A strong motivation to constantly improve and achieve targets

Detail oriented, with strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
-
International flexibility, ability to travel and a driving license

Your yearly gross salary will be from €36.400,- depending on your qualification and experience.
