University Assistant (PhD position)

Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Dissertation in the field of Innovative Building Materials, Building Methods and Construction (IBBK) with specialisation in the field of metallic fatigue and fracture mechanics.
• Independent research; publications
• Independent teaching
• Supervision of laboratory tests
• Training and further education
• Administrative tasks

Your profile:

• Relevant completed diploma / master's degree in civil engineering with a diploma in structural engineering, knowledge and experience in the field of FE modelling, programming skills (Matlab etc.), experience in teaching, professional and project experience in structural engineering; very good German and English skills
• Please enclose written reflections on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
• Ability to work in a team with colleagues, student employees and laboratory staff; personal responsibility and independence with goal-orientation
