- 20 hours per week; will be increased to 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed
Job Description:
Your tasks:
- Dissertation in the field of "Postmigrant Studies, Art and Education" or "Migration, Diversity and Education"
- Own research activities in connection with the dissertation. Desirable but not mandatory with connection to the questions dealt with on site, on life paths, detours and place designs, on biographies, urban life and art spaces, on democracy, openness and solidarity or also on marginalisation, stigmatisation and resistance
- Independent teaching on the Bachelor's degree programme in Educational Science and supervision of students
- Occasional participation in conferences and publications in the research area "Migration and Education"
- Attending further training courses in the areas of university didactics, research methodology and academic publishing
- Minor participation in organisational and administrative tasks of the department
Your profile:
- Very good Master's, Magister or Diplom degree in educational science or related studies, ideally already with a focus on migration, biography, diversity, art, urban or spatial theory
- Special interest in migration-related, intersectional, diversity-conscious and post-migrant perspectives in educational science and/or in biography and the subject in the age of globalisation or in art-based research in the field of migration and education
- Very good knowledge of German (C1 level), good knowledge of English (B2/C1 level) and IT skills
- Above-average commitment, curiosity, sense of responsibility, independence and ability to work in a team
- Please enclose written reflections on your potential dissertation project or your dissertation already in progress (max. 5 pages) with your application

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for 20 hours per week amounts to € 1.857 per month (14 times)*. The salary will be increased to € 2.785 for 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed and sent to the Personnel Department. The salary will be higher if you have worked in a similar position before.
