University Assistant (PhD position)

Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Dissertation in the field of production engineering preferred
• Own research
• Independent preparation and teaching of courses in the Bachelor's programme as well as supervision of students, especially for Bachelor's and Master's theses
• Participation in research plans and projects of the department
• Publication of research results and participation in subject-specific conferences, meetings and congresses
• Organisational and administrative tasks
• Training and further education

Your profile:

• Completed relevant Master's, Magister or Diplom degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, biomechanics or a similar technical field of study
• Proven knowledge in at least three of the following areas: Production engineering, human-machine interaction, robotics, wearable robotics, manufacturing engineering, sports and movement science and biomechanical simulation; There should already be some initial research experience in at least one of the above-mentioned subject areas
• Ability to work scientifically and willingness to write a dissertation
• Interest and ideally initial experience in university teaching
• Very good knowledge of German and English
• Commitment in dealing with students
• Basic interdisciplinary understanding
• Independent and structured way of working
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to solve problems
• Communication skills

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for 20 hours per week amounts to € 1.857 per month (14 times)*. The salary will be increased to € 2.785 for 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed and sent to the Personnel Department. The salary will be higher if you have worked in a similar position before.
