University Assistant (PhD position)

  • Department of Public Law and Political and Administrative Sciences

Extent of employment:

  • 20 hours per week; will be increased to 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed

Job Description:

Your tasks:

  • Austrian constitutional law, constitutional comparison, political science
  • Independent research in the field of
  • Independent teaching
  • Participation in the research activities of supervisors
  • Training and further education
  • Administrative tasks

Your profile:

  • Completed degree programme in law; good grades (1st examination pass) in Austrian public law and general constitutional law in the related subjects; excellent German language skills; very good English language skills. Desirable: Other foreign languages; interest and skills in comparative constitutional law and constitutional theory; experience in academic work
  • Please enclose written reflections on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
  • Precision; systematic thinking; ability to work in a team

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for 20 hours per week amounts to € 1.857 per month (14 times)*. The salary will be increased to € 2.785 for 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed and sent to the Personnel Department. The salary will be higher if you have worked in a similar position before.
