Job Description:

Your tasks:

  • Independent research
  • Research-orientated, independent teaching
  • Administrative tasks, including public relations work for the subject European Ethnology

Your profile:

  • A relevant, qualified doctorate in European Ethnology, Empirical Cultural Studies or Cultural Anthropology required; experience (methodological and didactic) in historical and contemporary cultural analysis
  • Didactic skills; ability to work in a team in teaching and research; creative problem-solving skills
  • Desired are: Research skills in the field of social inequality, everyday life and digitality or regional cultural analysis in the Alpine region as well as experience with public relations and science communication
  • The application must be accompanied by a methodologically and substantively elaborated concept for an independent research project at habilitation level (max. 5 pages) and a proposal for a course of your choice from the curricula applicable at the University of Innsbruck for the European Ethnology programme (BA or MA)
  • The list of publications must be accompanied by the three most important publications in pdf format
