University Assistant (PhD position)

Start date/duration:

  • for 4 years

Administrative unit:

  • Department of Philosophy

Extent of employment:

  • 20 hours per week; will be increased to 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed

Job Description:

Your tasks:

  • Dissertation in the field of ethics, political philosophy or philosophy of law (preferably with an analytical or pragmatist approach)
  • Independent research, especially in the context of the dissertation
  • Independent teaching and participation in teaching
  • Participation in research and publication activities
  • Participation in organisational and administrative tasks
  • Training and further education

Your profile:

  • Completed Master's, Magister or Diplom degree in Philosophy
  • Please enclose written reflections on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
  • Very good academic record
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Very good computer skills
  • Organisational skills, conscientiousness
  • Ability to work in a team and high communicative competence
