Your tasks:

• Dissertation in the field of gender research/gender studies
• Independent research activity with a focus on gender studies in the doctoral programme "Gender and Gender Relations in Transformations", for which enrolment in the doctoral programme at the University of Innsbruck is mandatory after starting work
• Independent organisation of courses and examinations in the field of gender studies
• Supporting the organisation of the doctoral programme "Gender and Gender Relations in Transformations" and networking among doctoral students
• Participation in conferences and congresses
• Administrative tasks

Your profile:

• Completed relevant diploma or master's degree programme
• Very good diploma or master's thesis in gender studies and/or in the social sciences, humanities and cultural studies (e.g. Educational science, history, political science, sociology) with a focus on gender and gender relations
• Dissertation project in the field of gender research/gender studies
• Advanced knowledge in the field of gender studies
• Very good written and spoken English skills (working languages: German and English)
• Desired: The dissertation project should have a power-critical and intersectional perspective
• Work experience in interdisciplinary research contexts and/or in gender studies is also desirable
• Ability to work in a team
• Communication skills, independence
• The application must be accompanied by a concept for the dissertation project, elaborated in terms of method and content, of max. 5 pages. In addition, a CV, letter of motivation, certificates and the diploma or master's thesis (as a PDF file) must be attached to the application

For this position, a minimum gross salary of € 2.786 per month (14 times)^*. Is stipulated in the collective agreement. Your actual starting salary will depend on your previous experience and will increase over the course of your employment.
