Your tasks:

• Dissertation in the field of "Dynamics of Work, Care and Gender"
• Own research (dissertation) on the interdependencies of paid work and care (e.g. Against the background of digitalisation, employment hybridisation, care economies)
• Participation in research projects, acquisition of third-party funding and publications of the research focus Dynamics of Work, Care and Gender
• Independently organising courses (German and English), holding examinations and supervising students
• Collaboration in organisational and administrative tasks of the institute as well as in the context of academic self-administration
• Continuing education
• Social knowledge transfer (third mission)

Your profile:

• Completed Master's, Magister or Diplom degree in Sociology (or a comparable degree in a relevant subject)
• Very good knowledge of sociology
• Interest in the sociology of work, care research and gender sociology
• Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative methods of social research
• Ability to work independently and scientifically
• Very good knowledge of English and German
• Teamwork, communication and organisational skills

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for 20 hours per week amounts to € 1.857 per month (14 times)*. The salary will be increased to € 2.785 for 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed and sent to the Personnel Department. The salary will be higher if you have worked in a similar position before.
