University Assistant (PhD position)

Start date/duration:

Administrative unit:

  • Department of Business Informatics, Production Management and Logistics

Extent of employment:

  • 20 hours per week; will be increased to 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed

Job Description:

Your tasks:

  • Information Systems
  • Independent research in the field of business informatics
  • Independent teaching
  • Team research
  • Training and further education
  • Administrative tasks

Your profile:

  • Completed relevant Master's, Magister or Diplom degree, preferably in business administration, information systems, computer science
  • Strong understanding of conceptual and theoretical research
  • Basic knowledge of empirical research
  • The position requires an interest in topics such as digital transformation, digital platform ecosystems and social implications of digital technologies
  • Very good language skills (German and English)
  • Intention to do a doctorate is expected; please include written reflections on your dissertation project with your application (max. 5 pages)
  • Ability to work in a team, communication skills

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for 20 hours per week amounts to € 1.857 per month (14 times)*. The salary will be increased to € 2.785 for 30 hours per week once the dissertation agreement has been signed and sent to the Personnel Department. The salary will be higher if you have worked in a similar position before.
