Job Description:
Responsibilities:
In this position you are expected to write a doctoral thesis in educational sciences, family studies or youth studies, for example based upon data from the international Longitudinal Three-Generations Study LifE (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/LifE-Studie).
You are expected to help with planning, organizing, conducting, and analyzing research projects.
You will hold your own seminars and tutor students on bachelor level.
In a stimulating environment using the university’s infrastructure you will have the opportunity to attend further trainings in order to improve your teaching abilities, your knowledge on research methods, and your expertise on the topic of educational sciences, family studies, and youth studies.
You are expected to take part in conferences and participate in publications of the research unit “Intergenerational Relations, Educational Research and Youth Studies.”
Required qualifications:
Excellent master degree (or similar qualification) in educational sciences, family studies or youth studies.
Special interest in the topic of educational sciences, family studies or youth studies.
Good knowledge of quantitative methods of social sciences and statistics, experience in research is of advantage
Good command of English language, German level C1
High motivation, persistence, and ability to work independently as well as in a team Please enclose a written reflection about your plans and the possible topic of your doctoral thesis (max. 5 pages).
