Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Independent research activities in the field of theoretical and numerical physics
• Independent organisation of courses and holding of examinations
• Supervision of students incl. Supervision of bachelor theses
• Collaboration in organisational and administrative tasks

Your profile

• Completed relevant doctoral or PhD programme in physics with a theoretical focus
• Experience in the development and application of scientific simulation codes
• Experience in relevant university teaching
• Research experience in the field of theoretical and numerical plasma physics, in particular with respect to full-F gyrofluid models and codes for turbulence, structure formation and transport in magnetised plasmas
• Relevant publications in international peer-reviewed journals and/or contributions to international conferences/workshops
• Ability to work in a team, communication skills
• Leadership skills, good co-operation with project staff and students

The minimum gross salary (stipulated by collective agreement) for this position amounts to € 3.083 per month (14 times)^*.
