Job Description:
Main Responsibilities:
In this postdoctoral position you are expected to participate as project manager, researcher, and co-author of publications in the international “Three Generation Longitudinal Life Course Study LifE” (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/LifE-Studie) as well as the planned longitudinal study GUIDE-Austria (Growing Up in Digital Europe: https://www.coordinate-network.eu/guide).
When taking over the position, you will be a member of the research unit on “Educational Sciences, Intergenerational Relationships, and Youth Studies” at the Department of Education and are expected to help in organizing scientific conferences and other events of this research unit.
Furthermore, you are expected to hold seminars and tutor students.
In a stimulating environment using the university’s infrastructure you will be encouraged to attend further training activities and take part in national and international conferences.
Required qualifications:
Master degree (or similar qualification) in educational sciences or related disciplines (e.g., psychology, sociology)
Doctoral thesis in the field of educational sciences, family studies or child/youth studies
Practical experience in planning, conducting, analyzing, and publishing research projects
Advanced knowledge in quantitative research methods of data collection and analysis
Experience in teaching on university level
Good command of English language, German level C1
High motivation, persistence, and ability to work independently as well as in a team
