Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Independent research
• Independent teaching
• Support of doctoral students in their projects, participation in the supervision of Master's and Bachelor's theses
• Participation in congresses and specialist conferences as well as training courses
• Organisational and administrative tasks

Your profile:

• Completed M.Sc./Dipl. Degree in the field of materials science
• Doctorate in the field of alloy and process development for beam-based additive manufacturing processes
• Excellent knowledge and publications in the fields of alloy development and process development for beam-based additive manufacturing processes
• Experience in the supervision of student theses
• Excellent knowledge of system technology in additive manufacturing as well as practical experience in system operation
• Technical understanding of the infrastructure of a powder metallurgy laboratory (gas and electricity connections, metal powder handling)
• Scientific evaluation and publication of research results
• Broad knowledge of chemical/physical analysis methods
• Experience in applying for, carrying out and managing research projects
• Very good knowledge of German and English
• Problem-solving ability, ability to work in a team, communication skills
