University Assistant (postdoc)

Job Description:

Your tasks:

• Independent research activities
• Independent organisation of courses and examinations
• Collaboration in organisational and administrative tasks as well as evaluation measures

Your profile:

• Relevant degree in Italian / Italian Studies. Doctorate in the field of Romance literature and cultural studies and/or its didactics (literature or media didactics)
• Excellent academic publications and lecturing activities beyond the dissertation
• Ability to teach courses independently (4 SWS/semester) and to supervise students
• Submission of a project outline for a research project in the field of Italian literature and cultural studies and/or its didactics (literature or media didactics) (max. 5 pages)
• Mobility experience; knowledge of Italian and German (if not L1) C1
• Desired: Teaching degree, third-party funding experience; university teaching experience in Romance literature and cultural studies and/or its didactics; experience in organising conferences.
• Ability to work in a team, independence and high communicative competence, creative problem-solving skills
