Job Description:

Your tasks:

• You will provide system librarian support for the library management and discovery system and the associated functionalities
• You will develop library system tools
• You will plan and implement projects to provide new services
• You conduct training courses and workshops
• You will provide technical support for library staff and users in the use of library systems and digital services

Your profile:

• You have a university degree / university of applied sciences degree or an equivalent qualification
• You have practical experience in the administration of library systems and digital resources. If you do not already have this, you are expected to have online certification as a system administrator for the ALMA library management system at the start of your employment
• You have a sound knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python, Java), databases (e.g. SQL) and web technologies
• You have strong analytical problem-solving skills and are able to analyse and optimise complex systems
• You have knowledge of the relevant library standards and trends in the field of digital libraries
• You have very good written and spoken German and are proficient in technical English (level B2)
• You are willing to participate in our training and further education programme and to travel on business
• You are characterised by a high level of teamwork, resilience and commitment
• You have good communication skills and flexibility
