University Assistant (PhD position)
Job Description:
Your tasks:
- Dissertation in the field of lightweight structures at the interface of architecture, structure and geometry
- Scientific publication and presentation of research results in the context of the dissertation topic as main or co-author; participation in research topics and publications, as well as in research proposals and acquisition of third-party funding for the Lightweight Construction research group.
- Participation and independent teaching (after assignment) in the Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Architecture in the subject area of the dissertation.
- Training and further education according to availability (active and passive participation in conferences and congresses, further training and workshops), organisation of scientific events and exhibitions of the Lightweight Structures Research Group.
- Administrative tasks in the organisation and management of lightweight construction, media work
Your profile:
- Completed diploma, master's or master's degree in architecture and/or engineering
- Creativity, innovative and analytical thinking as well as a strong understanding of the interaction between architectural design and constructive conception in sustainable lightweight construction
- Excellent knowledge of digital methods, particularly in the areas of geometric modelling, architectural and structural simulation and materialisation at various scales
- Interest and proven skills in digital and manual manufacturing processes
- Interest in architectural discourse
- High motivation to work both in a team and independently in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
- Precision and efficiency in work as well as strong communication skills / academic writing and communication skills (English)
- Enjoy working with students and interdisciplinary work
- Preference will be given to applicants with international experience, experience in experimental investigations / experimental setups, or relevant practical experience
